Saturday the 13th of February from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Meet LeAnne Campbell, the daughter of author Dr. T. Colin Campbell who penned the “China Study” book. In The China Study, Dr. T. Colin Campbell details the connection between nutrition and heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. The report also examines the source of nutritional confusion produced by powerful lobbies, government entities, and opportunistic scientists.
LeAnne is the author of the “China Study Cookbook” and the editor of “The China Study All-Star Collection: Whole Food, Plant-Based Recipes” – both are companion cookbooks to The China Study, written by Dr. T. Colin Campbell. She is also the Director of an organization known as Global Roots. Global Roots provides educational and leadership opportunities for people (of all ages) to explore first hand the personal and global health benefits of a whole food, plant based diet, it’s impact on the environment and how through a well-developed network, we can motivate and work together to create a vibrant (healthy), inclusive and sustainable community.
This is a one-time opportunity to meet LeAnne and learn about her mission to foster vibrant, inclusive and sustainable communities, locally and internationally.
Please bring a dish to share, (salad, casserole, etc.) preferably vegetarian or vegan and bring a 3×5 card with the ingredients to help people stay on their diet. Please no meat or dairy.
